Bonsai plants (Growing them from seeds)?

I just bought some Bonsai seeds, and with the seeds came some very complex instructions. I was actually sent three pamphlets, saying three different things and don't know what to do. I want to know from someone who has experience in growing these trees if these instructions are a must, or if there simply suggestions, or if I can just them in Pete moss and start growing them. I have Chinese Zelkova, Japanese Zelkova, Amur Maple, and Trident Maple seeds. The instructions talk about stratification Cold/Hot. For all the seeds it says to put them in hot tap water over night. Then it says put the seeds in the refrigerator for 60 days. Then some of the other instructions say stratification in the refrigerator isn't necessary. Than the other instructions say to place the seed in a clear plastic bag filled with moist but not wet coir, composed of bark, or a mix of equal parts of the above with coarse sand, perlite or vermiculite and seal the bag. Chill seeds int he refrigerator, keep at 40 degrees, for 20 weeks, depending on the species.

I NEED A VET! WE CAN'T AFFORD THE VET BILL IN FULL!?

We've taken our dog to several animal hospitals including SVA, Banfield, and Southgate Animal Hospital. The bill has been between $600-900 and we just cannot afford it, especially with the $300 we've had to pay for office visits. Ok, well...it all started in class. Why don't girls like me?

So I'm 17 year old guy and no I'm not a massive nerd or a weirdo or anything like that, I've had girlfriends and got with girls at parties before but this year it seems no girl has taken an interest in me whatsoever. Phalaenopsis orchid care?

My husband bought me an orchid for Valentine's day. When buying, he called around to florists o see if any of them had a mature orchid. He knows that I kill every plant I have, which is why he got me a mature plant. It has 3 full grown leaves, and a new leaf sprouting. It has 2 long (spikes?) branches, with about 3 or 4 more spikes coming off of those. It is not blooming anymore. I have no idea how to care for it. I'm not sure what to repot it with. I've seen Miracle Gro for orchids, I've heard moss and bark also. The plant is not dying, so I guess I must be doing something right. What alternative education do you think is better, Montessori or Steiner (Waldorf)...and why?

We're not sure if we want to send our kids to a Montessori or Rudolph Steiner school. We want to start them where they end up -- so we have to make a decision soon since our son is 3 years old. I really like the concepts of both types; however, Waldorf is significantly more expensive (almost double), and I'm wondering if the extra money is worth the end result...especially high school, in which the tuition is equivalent to a 4-year university! I'm what you would consider a major nerd in high school but i have a huge problem with boys. Is this what i should eat to maintain weight?

Don't fall for all of the diet/health food companies crap. As long as you are matching your caloric intake to your excersise you should be fine. And watch protein, it helps build muscle which burns fat. Stay away from sugary foods. I read that an average adults sugar intake per day is 40 grams tops. I try to stay under that but naturally sweet foods like fruit are ok and don't count as much. My one sugar food during the day is a couple cups of coffee. The best thing to do is go to a nutritionist who can better explain these to you and customize a diet for you based on age weight sex height. There is no one perfect diet. But staying active and eating right changes everything. Too many times have I watched people try diets because Of some book or their friends are doing it only to never exercise. And people who exercise but don't eat right. You talk about wanting a bigger butt, that's really based on how you work out that part of your body and genes. If you don't want to pay for a nutritionst try going to a local gym and talking to people about their diets then you can get a general idea. Just don't starve your body, that can be as bad as overeating because your body doesn't know when it is going to eat next so it stores all of your food as fat. Check out protein shakes with less calories and more protein. Chicken is a good start too since it almost has as much protein as a steak but a lot less fat and calories. Also don't forget to watch out for creatine supplements, it could be in protein shakes. It does help in building muscle but makes you gain water weight. And NO gatorade, people drink that stuff all the time but is only meant for intense exercise to replenish sugars and electrolytes which is basically a fancy word for salt. That means fat and water weight. If you need any more help just ask.

Can Jungle earth, forrest moss or cork bark be used in Giant Snail housings or stick insects?

I am looking to house 2no giant african snails however I am unsure what substrates to use. My partner bought some EXO Terra jungle earth and Forest moss plus a huge piece of cork bark. I feel like no one understands me, not even my closest friends or family. I'm 15 and I have a few friends but I never feel like, completely good when I'm hanging with them. As long as you have a reason behind her actions and she behaves like a real human being, I think its fine. Think about it, real people ARE confusing sometimes. That's just part of being human. Sometimes, we don't even make sense to ourselves. Its fine to create a character like this as long as its justified and believable. How to make more friends?

At my school there are groups. People in my grade already have groups they are in, so it is really hard for someone to go in a current group they are in, into another group. I mean there are the so called "popular" group, then there are the "nerds", then the kind of popular, and so on. It is basically what you see in all the movies. But then there is me. I don't really fit in either the popular nor nerd group. So I don't know, I have a few really good friends, or atleast I think they are really good friends, but I don't know if they talk behind my back or actually hate me. And I am typically quiet in my classes, so I don't know how to make more friends and become more out going.

Baby Red-tailed Boa question?

ok, this past Friday I had 2 Red-tailed boas come in, male & female. Both are beautiful in color. Their face, eyes, and nose all look clear and skin is very nice. The girl who I got them from said they would need to eat that day on which i got them, but they wouldn't eat. Now I have had 2 ball pythons in the past and never had trouble with them eating. I was wondering if maybe I should let them get acquainted with their enclosure first, maybe that's why their not eating. She also said I might have to force feed them, which i never have done, but I will if i have to obviously. So if anyone can give me some info I would appreciate it. For now the boas are in a 55gal tank, 150w nocturnal light, stays around 85-90degrees, a large water tub and the substrate i use is eco-carpet and some moss- they seem to like it very well.Both snakes are handled and they seem to like it, very gentle .Also, not alot but sometimes the snakes seem to be breathing heavily and quick, like they just ran a marathon- I found that a little wierd. I seen this happen one time only.

Why is it so hard for me to talk to people?

I'm 13. And I've been going to public school and Been playing soccer forever! But I only have a small amount of friends. I find it really nerve-racking to go up to someone and start talking to them. Would a pair of Aphyosemion australe be compatible with a male betta and some guppies in a 5 gallon tank?

The tank is 5 gallons with a big clump of java moss that covers the right half of the tank. The betta is relatively shy (does not even flare at other male bettas), and I plan on moving out some of the guppies. There are also cherry shrimp (or dwarf red shrimp) in the tank.

It blossoms pink flowers and I just love the way they fall down on me because as I watch them fall right in front of me I can see so many pink flowers gently dancing from side to side slowy touching the ground. On the middle I can see Tinkerbell sitting on a Tulip leaf and purple Tulips flowers was above her head. I can see that this time mosses covered the left pathway filled and they had little rose beside the pathway leading the other way around of the tall shrub. When I looke up I can see that the pathway was leading two way one to the right and the other one to the left. The waitress led me to the right and I saw him, Elai. Hi, I'm a guy who isn't married yet or have a child. I was wondering if I should just raise my kids without giving them any toys or spoil them with anything in their younger years so they will be grateful for what they have. I will never yell at them, insult them or physically punish them. I will want to focus a lot on their education and become really smart(not by learning a lot of knowledge but by being creative). I will also let them exercise and play a lot of sports so they don't become full blown unfit nerds. I won't let them watch television too much. I will let them socialize but also make it clear that they have to stop participating in certain activities when I tell them to(or give them the initiative to) . I hate my school and i have like no friends..help?

I will try to make this as short as possible. I hate my school. I live in a small town, with about 40,000 people...one of those small country towns where everyone knows everybody. To make that situation worse, i go to a private school here, where there are only 16 people in my entire freshman class. my algebra class, for example, has 6 people in it. Bullying is terrible here, it’s more mental than physical. i haven’t been bullied since I fit in and stuff, but the “book nerds” get bullied all of the time, and it’s hard to see…when I tell people that they shouldn’t do that they just say “oh ____, but look at her, she’s so ugly! How could you ever be nice to THAT?” so, i don't have many friends. to be honest, i only have 2 REALLY close friends, with one of them living out of town. why do i hate my school? my classmates are snobby and mean, and are so clique-y, and backstab. yes, i do buy all of the designer clothes and the fads, but i don't brag about it thinking im "rich and i dress better than ____ ". i fit in with my school, that isn't the problem. i just hate the people at the school and everything about it. the teachers are all rich and just teach for a little extra $$$ (public schools pay SO much more money) and have favorites, of course the kids of their friends. if you even try to REACH in your purse they will think you are texting. i make all A's in school, with b's as well, but not many. one time, a made a C on a science test, and then they called my parents because they thought i was "slipping and may not do well the rest of the year because of it" i mean what the heck, it was the hardest chapter we learned, and i still made one of the highest grades. these are just a few examples, i mean i could literally go on. i know you get special attention at private school, but they often cross the line to which it is a personal matter. i wish i went to public school, but there are only 2 public schools, and they are ranked like 200 in my state, so it's not too great. plus, one is located in the ghetto (don't mean to be racist) and there are shootings like every week, which of course everyone finds out about. In fact, I tried public school and one of my classmates I was starting to be friends with got shot. So, I came back to private school (parent’s choice) but anyways i just wish there was some way i could get out, i mean i want to experience REAL life in public school, not private school where 60% of the kids will continue to support their families business, or just fall back on the money their parents have and live off of that. It makes me depressed that all of these kids have their future planned out, where I have no clue what I want to be in life….and then I get so much pressure every day ,with the teachers saying “everyone needs to find out their career, there is no turning back” it’s just a whack school. And to have like no friends makes life even worse. Im on summer vacation now, and literally has been doing very little, just since I have no friends. And so hard to join cliques, and to be honest, I just don’t want to join some of the cliques there. My parents are divorced so I lifve with my mom, never having a dad there to take care of me, and I suffered from anorexia last year , nearly dying at 5’8’’ and 89 pounds.. because I wanted to be thinner. I am now back to a normal weight, but I still have that thought in my head that I need to go back, because i lost most of my muscle. I’m not fat now or anything, I’m 128 which is healthy for my height. God bless you if you read all of this. I just got 2 anoles. I set up a fine coco substrate. I added a medium sized wood hidout. 2 big plants. a kidney waterbowl. 3 sticks. Some dragon moss. and some scattered rocks. Its kind of busy and spacious on the leafs but down below not very. Today when I was feeding them for the first time I dropped in 3 crickets just to see what happened. One died. The other two scattered. 6 Hours later I saw one cricket hiding in a corner under a leaf. Will the anoles find it later or is the terrerium too big? Should I clear out the coco substrate and add a line, less plants, and less everything else? Or should I just feed them with tweezers? Please Help!

My Neighbour built a detached garage right up against the property line between our houses. He built it beneath a tree that is plants just on my side of the property line. Even better if your planning on using some insulation under the deck. Long term, the only thing that can go wrong with a metal roof is after 25 years or so, the paint might begin to start chalking, so ultimately you may need to repaint the roof. It is cheaper than say tiles, or slate, but if you have a lot of valleys, or its cut up, you might get a labor add-on for those areas. But still, there is no downside to a properly installed metal roof. It will last forever!

You're on the right track with the peat moss. Venus fly traps are native to the southeast where we have acid soil. You can use either straight peat moss. I've purchased it in small bags at Lowe's and Walmart. Or you can mix 1/2 peat moss and 1/2 perlite. The perlite is also available in a small bag. Betta care is pretty universal. The ones in the cups at the petstore are just variants of the wild plakat. You can keep them like you would keep a regular vailtail betta. The tank should be heated to 79*F. You can feed him a high quality pellet diet, like Hikari or New Life Spectrum, and supplement with the occasional frozen bloodworm or brineshrimp. Fast them one day a week. You could only keep one per tank, with plain tankmates like 6 pygmy corys, 6 neon tetras, some ember tetras, or some chili rasboras.

These schools aren't totally Montessori schools or Waldorf Schools... their philosophy is loosely based on them. Like I said, the preschool is more Montessori, and the elementary I'm stoked about is based on Waldorf approach. If the gecko is purposely eating the moss then YES remove it as soon as possible!!! if the gecko eats too much, it will Develop an impaction. An impaction is basically when a gecko eats something its not supposed to, and it blocks its stomach, which defiantly leads to death!! try something such a regular paper towels in the hide, NOT shredded, just dampened. i hope this helped!! any more leopard gecko questions just email me!!! :)

9 times out of 10 someone will say Hunter is the best leveling class. I think a Subtely Rogue is best. The reason I like Sub rogues is because you can pretty much 1 hit anything in your level range with Ambush. Race wise, it doesn't really matter. The race bonusses are generally so small that the difference between a Troll, a Blood Elf, and an Orc are minimal. I'd suggest play around with hair, skin, and race styles and choose what you think looks best. Good luck leveling. :)

Reality is unfair to me. Why Me?

I have such a hard time in "The real world". I have dreams, but everyone thinks they're stupid and they all laugh at me. Everything i can ever hope for is stupid and not real. I wish there was really good people. Not just good but super. There is no super hero like in my dreams protecting us from criminals and people doing harm. I had wished that they would exist but they had never did. I would do it if i can. There needs to be good people. But when I tell people this they laugh and call me a nerd for liking Spiderman and everyone else. People in my school get everything. I hate my school and life...need help please?

I will try to make this as short as possible. I hate my school. I live in a small town, with about 40,000 people...one of those small country towns where everyone knows everybody. To make that situation worse, i go to a private school here, where there are only 16 people in my entire freshman class. my algebra class, for example, has 6 people in it. Bullying is terrible here, it’s more mental than physical. i haven’t been bullied since I fit in and stuff, but the “book nerds” get bullied all of the time, and it’s hard to see…when I tell people that they shouldn’t do that they just say “oh ____, but look at her, she’s so ugly! How could you ever be nice to THAT?” so, i don't have many friends. to be honest, i only have 2 REALLY close friends, with one of them living out of town. why do i hate my school? my classmates are snobby and mean, and are so clique-y, and backstab. yes, i do buy all of the designer clothes and the fads, but i don't brag about it thinking im "rich and i dress better than ____ ". i fit in with my school, that isn't the problem. i just hate the people at the school and everything about it. the teachers are all rich and just teach for a little extra $$$ (public schools pay SO much more money) and have favorites, of course the kids of their friends. if you even try to REACH in your purse they will think you are texting. i make all A's in school, with b's as well, but not many. one time, a made a C on a science test, and then they called my parents because they thought i was "slipping and may not do well the rest of the year because of it" i mean what the heck, it was the hardest chapter we learned, and i still made one of the highest grades. these are just a few examples, i mean i could literally go on. i know you get special attention at private school, but they often cross the line to which it is a personal matter. i wish i went to public school, but there are only 2 public schools, and they are ranked like 200 in my state, so it's not too great. plus, one is located in the ghetto (don't mean to be racist) and there are shootings like every week, which of course everyone finds out about. In fact, I tried public school and one of my classmates I was starting to be friends with got shot. So, I came back to private school (parent’s choice) but anyways i just wish there was some way i could get out, i mean i want to experience REAL life in public school, not private school where 60% of the kids will continue to support their families business, or just fall back on the money their parents have and live off of that. It makes me depressed that all of these kids have their future planned out, where I have no clue what I want to be in life….and then I get so much pressure every day ,with the teachers saying “everyone needs to find out their career, there is no turning back” it’s just a whack school. And to have like no friends makes life even worse. Im on summer vacation now, and literally has been doing very little, just since I have no friends. And so hard to join cliques, and to be honest, I just don’t want to join some of the cliques there. My parents are divorced so I lifve with my mom, never having a dad there to take care of me, and I suffered from anorexia last year , nearly dying at 5’8’’ and 89 pounds.. because I wanted to be thinner. I am now back to a normal weight, but I still have that thought in my head that I need to go back, because i lost most of my muscle. I’m not fat now or anything, I’m 128 which is healthy for my height. God bless you if you read all of this. I just don’t know what to do.

We have had all our lizards since they were VERY small, they DO go through a skinny phase but they do bulk up in time. just keep checking out that he eats and poops. get small crickets and sprinkle the calcium powder ON them. make sure you are using the leopard gecko powder!!! each powder has diffrent things for diffrent pets. also get the gel cricket food. what the cricket eats, the gecko eats! i woun't give him the wax worms this young, wait a few months for him to get a better digestion. you wouldn't feed a baby human pizza would you? =) hope this helps!

I like a guy he's Indian (from this city called Maharasta). He's kind of short but taller than me, My friends say all they do is study and stick with their own people and are really racist and aren't open to having fun.
