This is random but I wanted to know the answer?

There is the show Gossip Girl and in Gossip Girl theres the character Blair Waldorf. Well we all know in the show that she's bulimic and uses Zofrans in order to help her throw up, but I thought Zofrans prevented vomitting? Is there something I'm getting wrong here?
