Can someone help me with my logitech webcam?

I have a webcam pro 3000 made by logitech... It doesnt work good at all! Its pretty new (maybe a year old) and everytime i plug it into a USB drive in the computer (sorry im a lil nerdy with computers) it doesnt freakin work! (sorry for the language) and all the updates are good but it doesnt say its plugged in!!! Every once in a while the cam just randomly works... I dunno why... I hate not being able to figure it out!!! PLEEEEEASE other computer nerds help me!! THANKS!
