Can I use peat moss from a pet store in my juvenile Iguana cage to help with humidity?

I have a juvenile Iguana and I was just wondering if it would be ok to use some peat moss from the pet store in his terrarium to help with the humidity. Please only reply if you are experienced in reptile knowledge and serious replies only. This is serious and I don't want to lose my reptile
