Is blair waldorf richer than serena van der woodsen?

If you've seen the episode where Lily's childhood was presented, it was shown that before she married the Van der woodsen, her family was filthy rich, then added the fact that she married Serena and Eric's father who also came from a rich family. in one episode Eleanor told Blair something about waldorf women are not socialites. and also when jenny and blair interrupted the passing of "queen B" status, blair said that jenny's dad is marrying lily which makes her richer than all of the girls there. The penthouse of the vanderwoodsens are much better than the waldorfs. the van der woodsen owns a rest house at the hamptoms while the waldorfs doesn't. i love blair but in terms of financial status, i believe that serena reigns.
