Difference between a nerd and a weirdo..?

Kind of tho ught it was a bad thing(nerd)..but my best friend doesnt think so nd got into a hot aguement and said i was one...any definition of a nerd and a weirdo???..or r there any difference??..it seems ive been getting the wrong idea,..
